The Inland Waterways Association (IWA) Lichfield Branch has generously donated £500 in support of our Volunteer Welfare Appeal.
The cheque was formally presented at the branch’s recent AGM, where IWA members expressed their appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by LHCRT volunteers throughout the year, to bring the Lichfield Canal back to liife.
The donation will go directly towards improving welfare facilities on site, helping us provide a warm, safe, and comfortable space for volunteers to take breaks, make hot drinks, and look after their wellbeing during a day of construction, in all weathers.
Bob Williams, our Finance and Funding Trustee, attended the AGM where IWA Lichfield Branch Chairman Neil Barnett formally presented the cheque. Bob thanked IWA for their continued support and long‑standing partnership.
Contributions like this play a vital role in helping us care for the volunteers who give their time, skills, and energy to restoring the canal for the benefit of the whole community.
We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift and for the IWA’s ongoing commitment to local waterways restoration.
