Feasibility and environmental studies

We have commissioned a number of studies by professional consultants: Stantec, Ove Arup & Partners,  W.S. Atkins PLC and Ed Sharkey & Associates.

W.S. Atkins Plc was engaged by Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust Limited to undertake a study and report on the feasibility of restoring the Lichfield Canal.

Stantec UK Ltd. was engaged by Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust Limited in its professional capacity as environmental specialists to to quantify the potential water supply demand (WSD) and identify the water supply sources (WSS) to enable the restored Hatherton Canal to be used for navigation.

The Trust commissioned W.S. Atkins Limited to undertake a Supplementary Feasibility Report on an alternate route to connect with the northern Birmingham Canal Navigations via the former Lord Hay Branch on the Wyrley & Essington Canal.
