It’s difficult to answer that. We have several sites around Lichfield in various stages of restoration and the amount is increasing all the time, adding to the opened sections of the Heritage Towpath Trail. As of 2024 about 2.34 miles or roughly 1/3 of the 7 miles has a good freely walkable towpath trail but only about 0.75 miles is in water.
