A Visitors’s guide to the Lichfield Canal

Our restoration activities are mainly centred around Tamworth Road. You are welcome to visit at any time and enjoy a walk along our Heritage Towpath Trail

How to find us:

By Road
Look for Borrowcop Locks Canal Park on the A51 Tamworth Road, Lichfield, WS14 9HG

There is a small free car park next to the traffic lights at the junction of the A51 and Ryknild Street.
Across the road is the Towpath Trail which takes you up to the Borrowcop Locks Canal Park. This part of the trail is wheelchair-friendly.

Local Bus Services
Arriva 765 & 785 Lichfield – Whittington – Tamworth. There are stops close to the Borrowcop Locks Canal Park as well as the car park mentioned above.

Nearest Train Station
Lichfield City Railway Station 15 minutes walk approx.
