Our annual quiz night was once again a great success with 14 tables of enthusiastic quizzers tested and entertained in equal measure by Quizmaster Tim Burgin. A fish & chip supper from the Alrewas Fryer was followed by an introduction by David Dixon then it was on with the quiz.
In the interval Peter Buck updated everyone on progress this year including the Tunnel Vision campaign. We now have about £200,000 towards the total of £1,000,000 thanks in part to the launch of the campaign at the London Boat Show by David Suchet.
The winning team was Burlesque with an amazing 156 points. Their prize of £50 was kindly donated back to the Trust for the Tunnel Vision campaign. Following up at the rear but with a still repectable 110 points was team Bubble Wrap.
In the end the real winners of night were the Trust as the event raised £1000.10p, a record amount for our Quiz night. Many thanks to all who attended and to those who worked to organise the evening, especially the kitchen staff who battled to sort out 110 meals of various type and to get them to the right tables still hot.
Our next event will be the Spring Show - an evening of fun with 'Just Us' on Friday April 7th. More details and booking on our website.
