Environment Matters

The work of our Green  Team’ and other  environmental issues.

The Trust relies heavily on volunteers to achieve its aims. We desperately need help in all areas. You can give as little or as much time as you can spare. Experience is not necessary, all you really need is enthusiasm!

We also have opportunities for Corporate Team building days through volunteering.

We are also very much dependant on the generosity of our supporters. We have a number of ways you can donate. 100% of the money raised is spent on restoration work.

Working Parties

Take a walk along the Lichfield Canal’s Heritage Towpath Trail and discover a world of fascinating industrial and cultural history, and enjoy an important corridor for wildlife and nature.

You are welcome to visit us at any time. Or you can stay at home and take a virtual flight along our canals, or study our maps in great detail.

Our Vision...

To reinstate the historic Lichfield and Hatherton Canals for the benefit of the community.
The natural wildlife corridor from Huddlesford to Hatherton will provide a valuable amenity for walkers, cyclists, boaters and visitors to use and will bring prosperity to the area. This project will also provide an opportunity for young people to learn about our history, our heritage and our environment.

“Tunnel Vision”

We urgently need to raise £1,000,000 before early 2019.
Please support the David Suchet appeal.
